Steve Haufler

Steve Haufler is a veteran of more than 40 years of coaching at the year-round, high school, masters and summer country club levels. Since 1999 he has been the head coach of the 330 member Orinda Country Club swim team, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. He specializes in teaching young athletes competitive swimming skills through private lessons, small group clinics, and swim team practices. He has been a featured speaker at many coaching clinics, both nationally and internationally, including the ASCA World Clinic 7 times since 2007. In addition, Steve has teamed up with writer Barbara Hummel and photographer and producer Glenn Mills of Goswim.tv to create eight best-selling instructional DVDs.

Sean Hutchison

Sean Hutchison is an entrepreneur and former US Olympic Coach. He has owned and built businesses to be recognized as best in the world in their market, both in quality and innovation.  During the same time, he coached and developed world record holders and world champions  Sean is the director of KING Aquatics, CEO of Aquatic Management Group, Inc. (AMG) since its inception in March of 2003 and CEO of IKKOs

 

IKKOS applies advances in neuroscience – neuroplasticity – to learning movement patterns. The patent-pending IKKOS System teaches technique faster and more effectively than traditional methods. IKKOS’ clients include some of the top athletes, clubs and Universities in the United States and, more recently, South America. Sean was chosen for 2013 TEDx conference at Auburn Univeristy for his work with IKKOS along with being published in 2014 Annual Review of Fluid Mechanices and a 2012 Microsoft Accelorator by TechStars.

Kathy Mendez

Kathy started her coaching career with KMSC/ CSC as an athlete volunteer with the pre-competitive groups in the mid-1970s.  She returned to the Oklahoma City swimming scene in 2008 when she became a volunteer coach and board member for Chesapeake Swim Club. In 2009, she was promoted to Head Age Group Coach. In 2014, Kathy joined John Brown and Josh Everett in pursuing their vision of a coach-owned team to provide stability and continuity to their athletes and families.  Kathy brings to the sport a unique perspective, as she has served as an athlete in the sport, parent, aunt, grandmother, coach, and team board member.

 

Kathy holds several positions and honors within the USA Swimming community, including:

  • Oklahoma Swimming Diversity and Inclusion Chair

  • Oklahoma Swimming Age Group Chair

  • USA Swimming Diversity and Inclusion Chair

  • American Swim Coaches Association Age Group Coach of the Year in 2012

Rob Miller

Former Collegiate Basketball Coach at Spring Arbor College, Rob Miller is the current Commissioner of the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference and speaker for Proactive Coaching. Administrative Positions Held include:

Director of Athletic Facilities for Spring Arbor College, Executive Director of the  National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) , Former Director of Champions of Character - National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and The Sun Conference Commissioner.

 

Rob has also been the recipient of several awards including, Spring Arbor University Young Leader Award (2005)
Coach Mike Krzyzewski Leadership Award, College of the Ozarks (2006), Win the Tip, Basketball Coaches Network Service to the Profession Award (2007) and Programming Chair, Citizenship Through Sports Alliance (CTSA)  (2005-2007)

John Mullen

Dr. John Mullen, DPT, CSCS is a World renowned expert and speaker in sports training and rehabilitation. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at USC, as well as the Josette Antonelli Division Service Scholarship, Order of the Golden Cane, and the Order of Areté. At USC, he also performed research on swimming biomechanics and lung adaptations in swimming training. Dr. John has worked with multiple professional and Olympic athletes, helping them earn Olympic medals. His dedication to research and individualization spurred him to open COR in 2011.

 

Since 2011, Dr. John has been featured in Stack Magazine, Swimming World Magazine, Swimmer Magazine, USA Swimming, USA Triathlon, Swimming Science, and many more.  He is also an editor of the NSCA personal trainer quarterly. Before his Doctoral program, Dr. John swam on an athletic scholarship at Purdue University. At Purdue, Dr. John was an Academic Honorable Mention All-American and was awarded the Red Mackey Award and R. O. Papenguh Award. He also won the Purdue Undergraduate business plan and elevator pitch competition, as well as 1st prize with the Indiana Soy Bean Alliance. Dr. John was born in Centerville, Ohio and was a 24-time high school All-American Swimmer. Dr. John is still a swimmer and holds a Masters swimming World and Pacific Swimming Record

Becky Yunglbuth

Becky Yungbluth is an age group coach with the Greater Omaha Aquatics (GOAL). After she graduating from Cathedral High School in Omaha in 1985, Becky began her coaching career as an age group swim coach for the US Navy in South Carolina where she coached for 2 years.  She then moved back to Omaha to attend Message Therapy School, graduating as a Message Therapist in 1991. In the same year, she worked as assistant for the Westgate Summer Rec Swim Team where she was awarded the 2006 parent volunteer of the year award for her outstanding abilities in motivating and encouraging children. Becky started working at GOAL in 2001 as an assistant age group coach, eventually moving to head coach of the Dolphin Group, a techinque focused group in their team structure. She hasworked extensively with the senior groups under Head Coach Tom Beck. In 2015 Becky was awarded Age Group Coach of the Year in the MW LSC.
